I strongly recommend the dog need to be under anesthesia to get the correct x-ray picture. If the position of pelvic bone isn't straight enough which will affect the reading of Norberg angle and femoral head coverage. You can discuss with your Doctor and ask him go to the x-ray clinic to perform short action intravenous type anesthesia. Most of the times the dog will wake up and can go home within one hour.
Dear Sandy:
As I mentioned on my last comment. I still recommend your Doctor can perform anesthesia in the x-ray place so you don't have to CARRY your dog. A accurate x-ray is the only way to give you the right information. A not good enough x-ray gives you nothing.
Good luck
Dr. Lee
I will ask him (Doctor) for kindly assistance about to perform the correct x-ray position. He is a generous Doctor, I think he will do this favor.
You are also a outstanding Doctor, if without your charitable heart, we
can't know a lot about CHD.
