Hello! Excuse me. May I say something.
First, I am glad to see everybody calms down on this issue. Be honest, I felt very umcomfortable to see some emotional words on the law sue. Everything could be discussed here, but, just like Amy said"Please smile". I am also glad the section manager did not delete this article. He just locked the article to have everybody cooled down and made everybody had time to think about this issue.
I have to say. I hate law sue. All of them. I agreed GiaWen has the right to sue but I don't think the people really learn the point. Then what is the value the the law sue? I also agree GiaWen has the right to make a contract, but if I were the one who wants to adopt the dog, I won't sign it. Because, personally, I don't like this feeling and there are many other places you can adopt animals. However, If no one forced you, a contract you sign is an act you have to follow. I don't deny she has the right to screen the future owner for her dogs. After all, GiaWen is the one puts a lot of efforts on them. To design a contract like this to sue people for money, the return rate is too low and too slow. Even she got stray animals, took care of them and eventually sell them to make money. There is still nothing wrong. It is a free country, isn't it? However, it is not a good idea to encourage law sue on internet. (My personal opinion: we have enough politicians ruined our society already. Law sue, on this case, cann't solve the problem or make anybody learn what they should have learned.)
Allan said the result of the law sue may have a negative effect in the future. He is absoultly right. People may stop adoption from this source, but is is a free country, isn't it? There are many other places you can adopt animals without signing a contract. That is your choice then be responsible to it. I also agree that different people have different points of views of their value. For example, my parents still don't understand howcome I invested a lot of money and time just for certain kind of "dogs'" surgeries and really has clients really want to go for it. OK, back to where we were. This law sue may be going to slow down the "turn around" rate of abandoned animals. BUT.... BUT.... Where did those stray animals come from???....Us, human being. If we don't change our attitude to the companion animals, the problem won't get better. Also to Mr. Roger: Who cares what top breeders go to China or what top handlers stay in Beijing. It is also not important what top quality of the dogs they can produce. If their attitude to the companion animals or even human didn't get better, I don't know how they could get enough respect. Sorry, let us go back to Taiwan. Indeed, a lot of things need to be changed here. Amy and a lot of friends here are working on it(Althogh we can not donate 5 million like a token). Maybe nothing will be changed, maybe all the works will become a waste, but we will never know if nobody tried.
I believe there are a lot of things Amy wants to say regards this issue. I appreciate she kept silence and leave us a room to think about and discuss about. "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen". I borrowed thesr words from Churchill to all the friends here. Good night.
